On the morning of Sunday, November 13, residents of the local area gathered together around the First World War Memorial Plaque in Kilgetty Community Garden for a Remembrance Service, led by Rev’d Canon Roger.
A hymn was sung before Lucy played the Last Post followed by two minutes silence.
After prayers and singing of the National Anthems, poppy wreaths were laid by members of organizations, namely St. Mary’s Church, Begelly Kilgetty Community Council, the Golden Age Club, the Friendship Club, the RAOB, Kilgetty Sports Club, Kilgetty Scout Group and the WI.
Everyone was invited for refreshments after the service in the Community Centre by the Begelly Kilgetty Community Associaton. Thanks go to Rev’d. Roger and Lucy and all those who attended.
