Tenby Town Council are looking for a new member after another councillor announced his resignation this week.
The town clerk, Andrew Davies, told councillors at their meeting on Tuesday night, that Clr. John Griffiths had informed him of his decision to leave due to his ‘advancing years and health’ and requested that the council actively canvass the ‘younger generation’ to fill the position.
Ex-Mayor, Clr. Griffiths, who only rejoined the council in April, is the second member to step down in recent weeks, following the resignation of Clr. Ben James.
Clr. Mrs. Tish Rossiter proposed that ‘with regret’ they accept Clr. Griffiths’s resignation.
