The original Amroth community event, where brave dippers take to the chilly sea to see in the New Year, will take place as usual on January 1.

Despite speculation that the annual event wouldn’t take place, the swim will commence from the slipway by Amroth Castle at 12.30pm, with all welcome to join in the festive fun.

For those wishing to support the local branch of Cancer Research UK in memory of Ann Kingston, the chosen fancy dress theme is penguins.

Local businesses will be open for refreshments throughout the day.
