A Pembroke Dock man has been fined in court after admitting supplying a hospital patient with drugs.

Sixty-four-year-old Robert Royan, of Commercial Row, pleaded guilty to a charge of supplying a patient at Bro Cerwyn Hospital, with 1.48 grams of amphetamine, when he appeared at Haverfordwest Magistrates Court on Tuesday.

He also admitted to the possession of 0.6 grams of cannabis at the same hearing.

Prosecutor Abul Hussain told the court that Mr. Royan had been seen by a health care assistant at the facility bringing a package into the hospital on May 9, which was discovered to contain the illegal substance.

“On the same day after police officers were notified, they conducted a search of Mr. Royan’s home address and found the cannabis under a kitchen unit.

Magistrates fine the defendant a total of £240 for both offences, and ordered him to pay prosecution costs of £85 and a £30 victim surcharge.
