Police have issued a warning for members of the public to stay away from the former Canaston Bowls building.

The former indoor family fun centre located at Canaston Bridge near Narberth, which housed a bowling alley as well as the popular Crystal Maze game, has been subject to police and security patrols during lockdown.

Covering the area, and posting on social media on Sunday evening, Tenby Neighbourhood Policing Team stated: “Despite current climates, persons continue to attend Canaston Bowls. Regular patrols are carried out by police and security.

“Anyone found to be breaching restrictions will be issued Covid-19 tickets and criminal offences identified will be dealt with.”

Five people found at the building which has been closed since 2011, have been issued with fixed penalty notices for breaching lockdown restrictions police stated.

A spokesperson for Dyfed-Powys police spokeswoman said: “People are trying to enter the building out of nostalgia, and part of the urban exploring trend, with photos and videos then online.

“It is mostly young people who remember it being open, but not always the case, and we are urging people to stay out.

“The building is derelict and in a poor state of repair, and anyone entering is risking their own safety,” they added.

Arrests were also made at the site last year after persons were found to be illegally entering the premises.
