DYFED-Powys Police is investigating an alleged arson that occurred on the corner of Bridgend Terrace and South Road, Pembroke (near Monkton) in the early hours of this morning (Thursday, May 28.)
A vehicle is believed to have been set alight. The resulting fire spread and caused damage to a nearby property. Nobody was injured during the incident.
Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service described their response to the incident: “At 3.55am on Thursday, May 28, the Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service crews from Pembroke Dock and Milford Haven Fire Stations were mobilised to an incident at Monkton Lane in Pembroke.
“The crews responded to a fire involving one private motor vehicle. The fire had spread to a nearby storage shed. The crews utilised four breathing apparatus sets and four hose reel jets to extinguish the fire. The vehicle was completely destroyed by the fire.
“The fire is believed to have been started deliberately. The crews left the scene at 5.25am.”
