A man from Pembroke Dock has been fined in court after admitting using threatening and abusive behaviour.
Thirty-four-year-old Matthew Hearne, of Clarence Street, pleaded guilty to the charge when he appeared at Haverfordwest magistrates court on Tuesday.
Prosecutor Dennis Davies told the court that the incident took place on July 7 in Meyrick Street, when another male known to the defendant was walking down the street with other family members.
“Mr. Hearne said to the complainant ‘don’t look at me you dirty pervert’ and it caused the person some concern, so he reported the matter to the police,” he explained.
Defence solicitor Mark Layton told magistrates that there was background to the incident between his client and the complainant.
“Mr. Hearne made an allegation against the complainant in 2015, accusing him of playing with himself in a local public toilet. The alleged incident was reported to the police and no action was taken.
“This prompted my client to make the ill-judged comments directed towards this person. He does regret his behaviour,” continued Mr. Layton.
Magistrates fined Mr. Hearne £120 for the offence and ordered him to pay prosecution costs of £85 and a £30 victim surcharge.
