A motorist from Narberth has been handed a lengthy driving ban after admitting getting behind the wheel of a vehicle whilst over the prescribed limit.

Twenty-nine-year-old Laura Bagley, of Sunnybank Gardens appeared at Haverfordwest Magistrates Court on Tuesday to plead guilty to driving an Audi A3 in Spring Gardens, Narberth on January 13, after consuming so much alcohol that the proportion of it in her breath, namely 91 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, exceeded the prescribed limit.

Magistrates disqualified the defendant from driving for 40 months and handed Miss Bagley a 12 month community order with a Rehabilitation Activity Requirement.

She was also fined £120 for the offence and ordered to pay prosecution costs of £85 and a £90 victim surcharge.
