A Monkton man has been told to prepare to spend a lengthy term in jail after admitting possessing heroin with intent to supply.
Thirty-nine-year-old, Anthony Reginald Davies appeared at Swansea Crown Court on Friday (February 28) for a plea hearing.
Mr. Davies’ partner thirty-three-year-old Kiera Watts of Colley Court also appeared alongside him in the dock.
Both defendants admitted possessing an unspecified amount of heroin on September 26 last year with intent to supply.
Judge Paul Thomas postponed sentencing until March 20 so a probation officer could prepare a report on Watts, a mother of three.
However, Judge Thomas said a report would not be necessary for Mr. Davies as he would be going to jail.
Mr. Davies’ defence barrister, James Hartson said his client would have accept that he dealt on a commercial basis because of text messages recovered from his mobile telephone.
The defendant was told his jail sentence would be “lengthy.”
Both defendants were released on bail until their sentencing hearing.
