A Pembroke Dock man accused of assaulting his partner is set to appear for trial later this month after denying the offence.

Thirty-nine-year-old Jolyon Jem Smith, of Commercial Row, appeared at Haverfordwest Magistrates Court on Tuesday to plead not guilty to the offence which is alleged to have occurred on January 12.

The defendant pleaded guilty to a bail act offence of failing to surrender to custody on February 21.

A trial date was set for Wednesday, March 28, to take place at the Haverfordwest court, and Mr. Smith was released on conditional bail, with directions not to contact the complainant directly or indirectly, and not to enter Brooke Avenue in Milford Haven.
