On Monday, the Tenby 50 Plus Friendship Club met at the Flying Boat Centre in Pembroke Dock for a very informative talk on flying 'machines' and in particular the Sunderland that has been in Milford Haven waters since WW2.

The hard work the volunteers are doing to clean and restore parts of this flying boat is amazing. The knowledge of everything to do with flying boats held the members interested from start to finish - and the cuppa they had was very appreciated too!

"We recommend that all locals should visit the museum, not just holidaymakers, as the whole afternoon just went by in a flash," said s club spokesperson.

The next meeting is on Wednesday, May 23, at 2 pm, at Augustus Place Hall, with Mr. Gardiner talking about 'The Tenby Area'.

The meeting on May 30 will be a 'Walk in Pembrokeshire National Park'. More details at the next meeting.
