Dinghy Racing - Due to the weather conditions, the racing on Sunday was cancelled. Hopefully the weather this weekend will be a tad better and the Frostbite series of races will continue.

Junior Sailing

Oscar Thompson, TSC’s very own 12-year-old junior sailor, has just returned from his first 2018 season residential training weekend with the Welsh National Feva Squad. The Welsh National Squad and North Regional Squad trained together at Pwllheli, with the National Squad staying at the Plas Menai National Outdoor Centre for Wales just north of Caernarfon. Oscar is currently winter training with Marnie who sails out of Llandudno Sailing Club; both are no strangers to the world of winter Feva training, having sailed last year with their respective partners, Ioan and Megan, in the Welsh squad.

Next weekend sees the two-day Feva Winter Championships being held down in Weymouth and Portland National Sailing Centre.

Junior training has now finished for the year and will restart next year in the early spring. Please keep your eyes peeled to this space for details. This is a very popular sail training event that is held by the club and is usually oversubscribed, so it is a first come first served basis.

There will be a Junior Christmas Party on Friday, December 7. All of this year’s sail training juniors, instructors, helpers and parents are welcome.

Tenby Blues Weekend

Last Saturday, the club was jam-packed with rugby and Blues supporters from 7 pm to closing. After the glorious Welsh winning match, the Irish game kept everyone’s attention for a thrilling win over New Zealand. Then immediately everyone was entertained by the blues band Smokestack Lightnin. Many thanks to the stalwart barmen, Matt and Ieuan, for keeping up with the demand and also to Dai and Phil on the catering side.

The Blues weekend is a great attraction for Tenby and is very well supported. Tenby Sailing Club is the only free to enter event, with a no better location than down on the harbour.
