Club Sailing

There was no club sailing last Sunday; excess wind put off the few takers who hadn’t travelled to Tata SC in Port Talbot for their regatta.

In Tata, the Tenby contingent put up a pretty good show, taking five of the top six places, the winner being Dan Jackson in his Osprey, helmed by a certain DJ Edwards, honorary Tenbyite for the weekend!

A strong and gusty north-westerly gave all the crews a proper workout, and helped to dissipate the fumes blowing over the lake. A good fun weekend that makes you appreciate sailing in Tenby all the more.

Tenby boats, in order, were Dan/DJ, Peter/Igor in the Scorpion, John in the Phantom, Ted/Lucas and Jaime/Charlie, both Ospreys.

Back to the club winter series this Sunday, at 1 pm because of Remembrance Day.

Friday, November 17, at the Giltar Hotel, Tenby. Dinner, prizegiving, live band and dancing. Tickets £25 per head. See website for menu and get your choices with payment to the Commodore as soon as possible.

AGM

The club AGM takes place on Saturday, November 18, at 7.30 pm. All members are invited; come and cast your vote for the committee and/or volunteer to take up a post to help with the running of the club. We need a new treasurer and a volunteer for Rear Commodore. If you are interested, contact Ted Lewis on 07790 839735 to discuss the details.

Opening hours

The club is open lunch times on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, and evenings on Friday and Saturday from 5.30. Pop in to enjoy a drink in the best location in town!
