Happy New Year to all our members and here’s hoping for another excellent one for the Aces!

New Year’s Eve 10-mile run: Well done to Donna Bradley, Ian Vickery and any other locals who took part in this 10-mile ‘no frills’ road run in the magnificent Towy Valley. It was a hilly road course in quiet country lanes taking in Garn Goch, views of Carreg Cennen Castle, the Black Mountains and Llandeilo.

Saundersfoot New Year’s Day Swim: Well done to those who braved the swim, Hayden Johns with his daughter Ava, Simon Lewis and Jason Hitchin with his wife Sarah, daughter Ella and friends who between them raised £1,350 for the Wales Air Ambulance.

Jason was knocked from his bike back in July, near Jameston, and had to be airlifted to Swansea Hospital, were he underwent many operations, so he is on a fund-raising mission now for this marvellous life-saving service.
