‘A wet week this week!’!
Very well done Niamh and Paul Slack, Alex Rees, with hubby Nicky, on their nine-mile swim on Sunday in the Upper Thames River. Starting at the famous Leander Rowing Club, Henley Bridge, going downstream along the beautiful stretch of river to the bridge at Higginson Park, Marlow Bridge. Sarah Hempenstall (nee White), who joins us for our sea swims and hails from Saundersfoot, also took part.
The planned Caldey to Tenby swim was postponed due to the sea conditions and in now taking place on Sunday, August 20.
Tenby Rotary Club bull run: We were invited by the Rotary Club to lead the procession down to the harbour, helping out with shaking buckets and ‘annoying/guiding’ the five bulls. Many thanks to the 21 Aces and helpers who came, the rain lashed down, but it did not dampen the fun of us lot or the holidaymakers!
