Tenby 10k, kindly sponsored by Bluestone and W. P. Lewis and Son Vauxhall, was run in very wet and windy conditions this year - the lead cyclist was almost blown over on The Esplanade.

In spite of that, over 600 runners took to the streets on Sunday, some without numbers since the race had sold out. There are some very keen runners in Tenby!

First male overall was Marc Hobbs from Swansea Harriers with a time of 32.29, while first female overall was Amie Fithern from Tipton Harriers in 38.26. They both win a holiday prize from Bluestone.

Other winners were: Open Male - Ian Williams, Male 40 - Richard Gardiner, Male 50 - Peter Osborne, Male 60 - Alan Davies, Open Female - Marina Kunz, all the way from Zurich, Female 35 - Carol Parsons, Female 45 - Helen Jones, Female 55 - Dawn Kenwright.

Race director Ann Rowell said: “A big thank you goes to Bluestone, Pembrokeshire County Council, the police, St. John Ambulance, Matt and Chris from the harbour,, Tri Exercise, Tesco, Tenby House, Tenby Leisure Centre, and all the marshals - without their help the race wouldn’t take place.”
