Whitland leapfrogged their opponents on Saturday to climb to second in the Division Two (West) table in a tight clash between two teams that were unbeaten going into this fixture.

The hosts produced a committed and disciplined display against Pontarddulais, and took their chances when in possession.

Nico Setaro converted five well-struck penalties for the Borderers, with the visitors’ response coming from Gethin Williams’s first half try that was converted by Paul Geary, who also kicked a penalty.
