Earlier this month Tenby Swifts held their 12th annual presentation night at Folly Farm theatre. An audience of over 500 people - players, coaches, managers, parents, committee members and volunteers filled the theatre to celebrate this successful season.

Harry Bolton, the vice-chairman of the rugby club, and Rachel Grieve, junior chairperson, expertly compared the evening. On stage with them were members of the Tenby senior rugby committee and coaching team: Will Crockford, Jonathan Evans, Mostyn Richards and Richard Rossiter, and they had the honour of presenting the players with their trophies.

Having had 90 minutes to experience the fun and thrills that Folly Frm fair has to offer, everyone congregated in the theatre, where the presentations began.

Each team, from the under 7s to the under 17s, were invited on stage and were presented with awards to celebrate this season. Three trophies were given to each team for the Spectators player, Players player and Most improved player. The Oliver Cavill award was given to Max Badham for his dedication to the sport and the club, on and off the field; the Daniel Burrows award to George Duckett, who despite two major injuries, still came back to play in the last game of the season; and the Ollie Morgan award was presented to the Under 10s, who were the Pembrokeshire county champions this year. The U17s, our other county champions, were presented with the Mike Fry Cup on stage too.

During the evening, the volunteers were thanked for their time and hard work. In particular, the Swifts thanked Lisa Davies, who is fixture secretary for the 10 junior teams, and child protection officer for the club too; Michelle Grigg was also presented with flowers and a gift, for her organistion of the Lotto - raising over £1,000 for the Swifts; and Claire Badham, who is always willing to help, and organised the Clicketts clean-up in the summer. The coaches, managers, referees, First Aiders and all volunteers who give up their time to allow the children to play rugby, were applauded. There is a huge team of at least 50 volunteers who help make this club the success that it is. If you would like to join this team, please contact Rachel on 07977 431512

The successful evening ended with a buffet and refreshments in the bar, for everyone to enjoy.

The Swifts players, parents, volunteers and committee would like to say a huge thank you to Folly Farm for allowing them to use their venue for this special occasion. It really is a great way to end the season! Thank you Folly Farm.
