Under 12s

Last weekend, Tenby Swifts U12s travelled to the north of the county to play against St. Davids. Despite all the recent rain, the pitch was in relatively good condition and the red and blacks started well, with the forwards putting early pressure on the home side, resulting in a try for Kyle, which was converted by Max.

Further tries followed in quick succession by Max and Cameron, both of which were converted, to give them an comfortable advantage of 21 points.

With their confidence high, there was some superb handling between backs and forwards, with all players wanting to get their hands on the ball. This resulted in further tries by Iori, Max and Tristan, to leave the half-time score at 36-0.

As the second half got underway, the home team began to win some ball and exert some pressure on the young Seasiders, but they were determined to keep their line intact and fine defence led to turnover ball and a drive upfield, with Duane-Lee forcing his way over for a deserved try.

Soon after, another fine team move saw Fletcher dart over in the corner.

A final try was scored by Tristan, with the referee bringing the game to a close with the final score 51 points to nil to the Swifts.

A fine all-round display was very pleasing to the coaching team, with all the squad getting involved throughout the game.
