On Sunday the South Pembs Wildcats U13s played their first home game against local rivals the Cleddau Wildcats (based in Haverfordwest).

Luckily the recent rains had softened the ground and a full contact rugby game could be played. These teams have met a couple of times before and each time the game has been a close exciting match to watch.

This week was no different. The girls tackled hard, ran quickly, passed accurately and their newly acquired rugby skills were on show again! A big thank you to Richard Rossitor for refereeing.

The squad consisted of: Ruby, Molly, Lauren, Kyra, Fern, Fiona, Evie, Ella, Immy, and the try scorers, Charlotte, Phoebe, Lilly, Anouk, Ria and Maisy. Congratulations girls on your enthusiasm, commitment and talent- your coaches Jamie and Tom, are extremely proud.

As we plan for the next year ahead we are looking for sponsors to provide the girls with necessary equipment and kit to take them further along their rugby journey and develop the cluster centre.

We have 75 girls registered this year from ages 6-13, and next year we hope to include an U15s team too.
