Narberth RFC Club Captain Alex Jenkins played his 250th league game for the club in the 32-13 win over Newcastle Emlyn.

Sean Gale, Director of Rugby at Narberth RFC, stood up and told the packed club house about this fine achievement and how, after first meeting this tall bleached blonde skinny boy in flip flops, he turned out to become one of the finest second rows to come out of Pembrokeshire.

Alex turned down the chances of joining larger clubs to become a most loyal Narberth RFC player. When Sean became Director of Rugby at the club he wanted a new captain and Alex was his man and he could not have picked a better person. Sean said whenever he needs things done he gives Alex a call and Alex says no problem.

After the Narberth RFC supporters Club presented Alex a bottle of fine whisky and also presented his partner Leila May with flowers as a thank you for all of her support to Alex over the years.

Alex is still a young man and if he can avoid injury will surely go on to further milestones for the club before hanging up his boots. Well done Alex.
