Saundersfoot Sports Club (sponsored by LG Leisure Ltd) played away to the Black Rabbit Club on Monday evening in their final league match of the season, and were 3-2 losers.

The first frame saw Dean Ludlow play Keith Williams Jnr. Dean started slowly against a good solid player, and soon found himself 38 points adrift as his opponent compiled a fine 40 break. Dean continued to battle, but the writing was on the wall.

The second frame saw Darren Morgan play M. Broxton. Darren started slowly, but then got going with an excellent 31-point break. He continued to play solid snooker, closing out the frame well (well played Darren).

The third frame saw captain Glyn Davies play D. Lewis. Glyn, for a change, was in good form, controlling the frame throughout to win well.

The fourth frame saw Martin Durham play Keith Williams Snr. Martin started cautiously, going behind by 10 points early on, and by mid-frame the gap had widened to 20. He continued to battle on, though, and in the end the frame went to the black, which unfortunately Martin didn’t get (unlucky).

Final frame was a walkover again, with the Saundersfoot team only having four players.

Next game will be on Monday, May 14, which is the semi-final of the Plate Cup against the British Legion in Milford.
