Saundersfoot Sports Club (sponsored by LG Leisure) played host to the Waterloo Cub from Hakin on Monday evening in their latest league match and were 4-1 winners.

The first frame saw captain Glyn Davies play Wyn Walters. Glyn, who opened up with a 22-point break, was never really in trouble and, riding his luck with the run of the balls as well, he went on to win comfortably.

The second frame saw Darren Morgan play Anthony James. Darren was in excellent form, starting with a 29-point break, and continued to play superb snooker, winning well.

The third frame saw Steve Barlow play Steve Dalton. Steve started cautiously and, like the previous week, was not at his best. Nevertheless, he continued to battle hard against a solid potter, but his efforts were to no avail.

The fourth frame saw Dave Wooles play Defan Hughes. Dave started well, opening up a good early lead. However, a few blips let his opponent back in and midway through it was level scores and anyone’s frame. With just the blue, pink and black left, Dave was 18 points down, but he battled back well to bring it to a re-spotted black, which he fluked to win.

The fifth frame saw Mark Cleevely play Richard Hughes. Mark started well, controlling the frame and, despite a few hiccups, he showed his class, winning comfortably.
