Saundersfoot Sports Club (sponsored by LG Leisure) played away to Balfour B in Haverfordwest on Monday evening in their latest league fixture and were 3-2 winners.

First frame saw Martin Durham play R. Williams, Martin started the better, opening up a good early lead, which he never relinquished.

Second frame saw captain Glyn Davies play R. Ashworth. This was a good potting frame for both players, but again Glyn lost on the black (Tom Jones syndrome - its not unusual!).

Third frame saw Dean Ludlow play D. Codd. Dean started slowly, but soon got into his stride, potting some good balls. Mid-frame, though, Dean was two points down, but continued to match his opponent and by the colours was just one adrift. It was anybody’s frame, but Dean then potted well to win on the pink.

Fourth frame saw Darren Morgan play D. Morgan (ironically). Darren started brighter, taking a commanding lead mid-frame. He never looked like losing and closed the frame out well.

Final frame saw Steve Barlow play I. Ashworth. Steve started terribly, going behind by 28 points early on. He gathered some momentum, but it was not to be as he went on to lose convincingly.
