The sun may have been shining, but it was a miserable day for Narberth as they were battered away at Neyland. Batting first, the visitors were bowled out for just 41, their lowest score of the season as the champions-elect showed their class. The eight wicket defeat puts them firmly in the relegation mix with just four to play. Whitland had a day to remember however as they bounced back from the previous week's defeat at home to Cresselly with a crushing 62 run win over Lawrenny. The Borderers scored 200-5 in their innings with in-form Jonathan Thomas hitting two sixes and nine fours in his 89, while Paul Davies and Connor Bowen scored 25 and 24 respectively. In reply, the home side were skittled out for 138 as Raff Williams took 5-32 and Dan James 2-23. Steve Lewis scored 21 for the home team, along with figures of 4-32, while James Buckle struck 38 and Joe Kidney 32. A magnificent innings of 79 by Iwan Izzard helped Cresselly reach 252 all out against St. Ishmaels, with Phil Williams also hitting 39, and Simon Cole 31. 'Tish hung on to sneak a draw finishing on 204-9 as Cole took 2-28, Mike Shaw 3-34 and Tom Arthur 2-32. Ian Sefton struck a brilliant 85 not out as Carew hammered Saundersfoot by10 wickets after bowling the Seasiders out for 118 thanks to Rhys Davies's 3-31 and Tom Davies's 3-18. For the visitors, Steve Cook hit 29 and Jack Franklin 27. Nick Scourfield then joined Sefton in the run chase hitting a steady 33 not out. A first century in Whitland colours for Wayne Jones helped their seconds to a 52 run win over Cresselly seconds after the home side struck 251-7. Jones hit 20 fours and three 6s in his epic knock of 128 not out, while David Dunfee struck a fluent 35. In reply, the visitors were shot out for 199, with Dunfee taking 5-28 and Matthew Webb 2-33. For Cresselly, Sam Harts took 4-46, while Alex Bailey hit 69, Scott Arthur 67 and Nick Davies 29. Sean Powell shone for Pembroke in their four wicket win over Carew seconds taking 3-51 to help reduce the visitors to 214-6. Haydn Shapcott hit 39 for the away team and Scott Richards 36, while David Rees hit 44 not out. In reply, Powell struck an aggressive 40, alongside Paul White's 53 and Barry Evans's 47 with Andrew Hay unbeaten at the end on 22. There were no surprises in division three as Kilgetty pulled clear at the top with a fine three wicket win at Narberth seconds after bowling the home side out for 91, with Jack Parkinson, Kurtis Marsh and Toby Poole all taking three wickets. Only Mike Johns with 24 showed any resistance with the bat. In reply, Richard Howell and Mike Williams both took three wickets as Kilgetty lost seven in the chase, but Ross Hardy with 30 ensured the points went back to Kingsmoor. Saundersfoot seconds were skittled for just 26 at home to Camrose and Spittal, while Lamphey beat Pembroke Dock by 58 runs to secure their fourth win of the season. Batting first, the Stags reached 176-9 as David Blackwell and Nick Shelmerdine hit 38 and 34 respectively, while James Skeels hit 23. Anton John took 3-22 for the visitors and Neil Hallet 2-23. In reply, Nick Daley struck a valiant 50, but with Hywel Gibbs taking 3-23, James Skeels 3-7 and Stephen Vale 2-14, there was only going to be one winner. Meanwhile, Stackpole lost in dramatic fashion at Crymych despite posting 179-7, with James Adie hitting 46 and Greg Thompson 29. The home side reached their target with a seven off the last ball to win by three wickets after a no ball sailed over the boundary. For the Lillies, Darrell Willington and Marcus Adie both took two wickets. Carew thirds beat Fishguard by four wickets despite the visitors posting 183-7 in their innings after Aled Davies took 2-20 and Jeremy Griffiths 3-44. The home side reached their target for the loss of six wickets as Chris Cole hit 50 not out and Jacob Knox 35. Hundleton were back to winning ways with an eight wicket win over Llangwm seconds keeping the home side down to 155-8 thanks to Phil Price's 3-34. In reply, Craig Williams blasted 84 not out and Jonathan Williams 46 not out. Meanwhile, Lawrenny seconds are still top after a three wicket win at Haverfordwest thirds. Dan Eddison took 3-26 for the visitors as the home team posted 175-8, while in reply, Adrian Harries hit 44, Matthew Lewis 39 and James Phillips 35. It was a bad day for Narberth thirds as they lost at home to Llanrhian seconds. The home side were skittled out for 82 despite Harry Jones's 23. In reply, Ryan Williams took 2-15, but the visitors prevailed by five wickets. Hundleton seconds went down at home to Cresselly thirds by eight wickets as they could only pose a total of 116-7 in their innings thanks to Steve Williams's 53. Selwyn Cole then got to work on the total hitting 55 not out while Luke Cole hit an unbeaten 25. Earlier, Lyn Richards took 2-11. Pembroke Dock seconds lost to Llechryd seconds by five wickets after being bowled out for just 111. Matthew Heep hit 39 for the home side and Glyn Griffiths 18 and despite Andrew Wood taking 4-37, the visitors lost only five wicket in the run chase. Bragging rights went to Pembroke seconds in their derby over Stackpole seconds as Pembroke posted 193-6. Steve Mitchell struck 75 for the visitors and Don Patel 61 before taking 2-0 in the reply. Nigel Phillips was also in the wickets, taking 4-28, and Robbie Hearn 3-43 as Stackpole were all out for 140 despite Iori Roberts hitting 31 and Sam Evans 35. In division six, Whitland thirds beat Camrose and Spittal by five wickets after S. Phillips and Gwynne Phillips each took three to dismiss the home side for 78. Gwynne Griffiths then hit 33 not out and Mark Owen 21 not out to seal the win, while Kilgetty seconds beat Crymych seconds by nine wickets as Jack Tucker and Jason Webb took a brace apiece to bowl them out for 114. Fifteen-year-old Tucker then smashed 16 fours in his 83 not out to secure victory.
