After plundering runs the previous week against St. Ishmaels, Whitland experienced the opposite against Haverfordwest as they were bundled out for 76 despite having home advantage. Whitland scored 188 fewer runs against the visitors than in their last league fixture as four wickets for Adam James (plus three catches, meaning he was involved in seven dismissals) and 3-2 from left-arm spinner Nigel Morgan, resulted in the Borderers suffering their worst batting display of the season and it was no surprise to see them go down by eight wickets. Only last week's centurion Jonathan Thomas with 18 and Iestyn Scourfield with 29 troubled the Haverfordwest attack as they cantered home with ease. Narberth also had an easy ride home as they had few issues in dealing with struggling Saundersfoot after winning by seven wickets. Three wickets for Ian Hughes plus 53 not out by Richie Adams and 48 for Ben Evans ensured the visitors romped to a win after the hosts only managed 120-6. Paul Mansbridge with 34 and Steve Cook's 24 were the only scores of note, although 13-year-old John Mansbridge took 1-45 on his first team debut for the Seasiders. A superb bowling performance by 15-year-old Tom Murphy helped Cresselly dismiss Llanrhian for just 139 as the youngster proved too hot to handle for the visitors. Bowling with pace and bounce, the towering teenager took 5-40 as Llanrhian were dismissed for a below par score on such a fine batting strip. Nevertheless, it proved to be the highest first innings score in the division on the day, although Cresselly had no issues in passing it as Matthew Morgan caressed ten 4s in his unbeaten 60, while Brad Jenkins showed no mercy on the bowling by smashing four 6s and four 4s in his brisk 53 not out. Down the road at Carew and Tim Hicks's 5-9 helped skittle Lawrenny for just 101, with Rob Scourfield also chipping in with 2-12. Joe Kidney's 31 not out was the top score for the visitors, but with wickets falling at regular intervals, an easy win was always on the cards for the hosts. Ian Sefton wasted no time in reaching the target hitting seven 4s and four 6s in his 66 not out, while Nic Scourfield hit a more sedate 33 not out with five 4s as they won by 10 wickets. Three wickets apiece for veteran bowlers Stuart Harries and Paul Webb plus a brace by Mathew Webb ensured Whitland seconds had the upper hand against their counterparts from Haverfordwest. The visitors batted first and reached 200-6 after their allotted overs, with Raff Williams and Wayne Jones both scoring 41. The bowlers then got to work as they took all 10 wickets for 165, meaning a comprehensive win by 35 runs. It wasn't such a good day for Carew seconds as they went down at Llangwm by 73 runs. Batting first, Llangwm reached 199-9, despite James Hinchliffe and Neil Gregory sharing six wickets, while the visitors were skittled for just 126 in reply. Cresselly seconds were smashed by top team Johnston as the league leaders hit 274-8, with Steve Mills Jnr stealing the show. Not only did he hit 118 in the team's total along with Dan Sutton's 94, he also took 5-48 as Cresselly were 147 all out. For Cresselly, Neil Davies took 4-62, Tom Arthur took 3-50 and scored 38, while Nick Jones hit 33. Story of the day apart from Mills's heroics was Megan Jenkins's 34no, which was her highest score for the team. Last week, Rob Weston hit a ton for Pembroke and this week it was the turn of Phil Hay as he slammed 101 not out in his team's five-wicket win over Hook. The hosts were held to 186-8 in their innings as Jonathan Rogers took 4-54 ,while Sam Davies was also on form, taking 3-39. Yet Hay was on fire with the bat as Pembroke lost just five wickets in reaching their target. Is there any stopping Kilgetty's bowlers? The short answer to that is not at the moment, as for the second week running they dismissed the opposition for less than 40. Pembroke Dock were the victims this time around, being bowled out for 38. Again Ross Hardy was in the thick of it, taking 7-18, while Kurtis Marsh took 2-0, as only Nick Daley with 17 caused any issues. In reply, the home side lost three wickets, although Grant Hardy with 19 and 16 not out from Geoff Marsh saw them home. Good news, too, for Narberth seconds as they trumped Saundersfoot seconds by three wickets after bowling out their opponents for 124. Young Lewis Hough took 3-30 for the home team, with Richard Howell taking 2-24, Nick Evans 3-26 and Mike Williams 2-24. Howell was also in the runs, scoring 24 not out, while Mike Johns steadied the ship early on with 28. Only Yannick Parker with 32 and 3-21, Chris Parker with 23, Chris Hawkes with 24 had performances of note for the visitors. Lamphey's horrible run of defeats continued at Neyland after they lost to the home team's seconds. Batting first, Lamphey were all out for 13,3 with Dave Blackwell top scoring on 33 and Hywel Gibbs hitting 24, while Ben McDonnell struck a breezy 21 In reply, Blackwell took 2-16, Stephen Vale 2-32 and Andrew Skeels 3-21 as the home team passed it for the loss of seven. Meanwhile, Stackpole went down by five wickets at Camrose after scoring just 144-9 in their 40 overs. John Williams top scored for the away team with 43 and Richard MacKay hit 34, but despite Williams taking 2-30, the divisional leaders won with ease. In division four, Lawrenny seconds had an easy win over their counterparts from Burton after bowling their opponents out for just 92. Steven Cole took 4-23, while Phil Cole took 3-8 and hit and unbeaten 15 at the end, alongside Steve Campbell's unbeaten 53. Hundleton could only draw with Herbrandston seconds despite bowling the visitors out for 155. Scott Richards took 3-32 for the home team, Phil Price 3-17 and Steffan Williams 2-35, but despite Richards hitting 27, they ended up on 131-7. Carew thirds had a good win over Johnston seconds who scored 175-8 in their innings. Harry Cook took 4-19 for Carew and Tom Lewis 2-27 and he was in the runs, too, hitting 62 not out, with Aled Davies unbeaten with him on 51 In division five, Narberth thirds did well to hang on for a draw at Pembroke Dock seconds as they were 144-9 at the close chasing 171-8. Sean Thomas and Dan Hughes both had good all-round performances for the away team with 2-25 and 23 and 2-44 and 32, respectively, while Ronan Griffiths took 3-39. For the Dock, John Davies struck 50no and took 2-27, Jamie Hyiatt hit 35, Andrew Wood 24 and took 3-4, while Johnnie Hay snared 2-44.   Cresselly thirds went down by 11 runs at Llanrhian after they were all out in reply to the home team's 149-2. In an agonising defeat, Lyn Richards scored 27 and Huw Evans 21. Stackpole seconds had the bragging rights over Hundleton seconds, winning by seven wickets after bowling Hundleton out for 117. David Lockyear hit 21 for Hundleton and Paul Ford 43, with Adam Seaton taking 4-21 for the home team and Wayne Marshall 3-39. In reply, Phil Tallett hit 66 not out and Marshall 21 as they strolled to a comfortable win. Pembroke seconds, meanwhile, went down by five wickets at home to St. Ishmaels' seconds after being bowled out for 100. Gwyn Griffiths top scored for Pembroke with 35, while Nigel Phillips and Robbie Hearn both took two wickets in reply, but the visitors romped to an easy win Kilgetty seconds remain top of division six as they triumphed at Neyland thirds despite being bowled out for 151. The young guns of the away side shone again as Jack Tucker scored 35, Jac Parkinson 23 and Tom Owen 25, while Jac Waters took 2-28 and Corey Hill 2-19 as the home side were skittled for 120. Meanwhile, Whitland thirds did what their firsts couldn't as they piled on the runs at Crymych. Andrew Edwards shone for the away team, hitting a sparkling 118 in their 275-5, with Dafydd Evans scoring 84. In the reply, Gwyn Phillips took 5-9 and J. Thomas 3-25 as the home side were all out for 128.
