The annual charity singles knockout took place Easter Sunday at Narberth RFC. Unfortunately, only 31 players attended, but there was still good darts thrown.
Eventual winner was Paul James (RFC Otters A), with runner-up being Mikey Rees (Bush Robeston). Furthest lady was Sharon Lidbury (Farmers).
At the moment, the amount raised is around £750, which will be finalised by next Monday when the cheque will be presented at the RAOB Club to four-year-old Frankie Sofia Whitby, from Narberth, who suffers from cerebral palsey.
Many thanks to the following who all contributed by donating money on the night. The main contributors were Gavin and Gail Smith who donated £445 from the ‘Keith Smith Memorial Shoot.’ Others who donated money were Norman Lincoln, Eric Bates and Mike Thomas.
The tournament winner, runner-up and top lady also gave their winnings back. All the following donated raffle prizes: Andrew Rees Butchers, J. O. Griffiths Butchers, Contented Sole, Clerkenhill Adventure Park, Costcutter, Spar, Wisebuy’s, Wax and Stone, Liz’s Coffee Shop, Colwyn Harts, Ivy Bush, Fishers, Angel Llan, Bush Robeston, Iron Duke, Wiseman’s Bridge, RFC Otters, Narberth RAOB, Dragon Inn, Begelly Arms, Lawrenny Arms, White Lion and Farmers.
Many thanks to Clive, Ben and Paul for setting up the boards, Colin Hallwood and Eric Bates for running the draw, and staff of the RFC.
