Monday saw Trefloyne’s mixed team play the first round of the Ping Mixed Foursomes at Carmarthen Golf Club.

In very blustery conditions they went up against a very strong team from Pontardawe Golf Club. It was a very close match with the first pair Dave and Beth McMann beating their opponents on the 16th hole, winning 3 and 2.

John Voysey and Jane Meyrick took their match to the 18th hole but were beaten by a single putt.

The last pair out Ian and Jan Whiting had a tough game eventually winning on the 17th hole -2 and 1.

Many thanks go to Pontardawe for the laughs all had along the way.

Trefloyne are now looking forward to the next round.
