Last Thursday, Brian Phillips and Phil Adams, who had earlier in the season won the SWSC Claret Jug pairs competition, travelled with a group of fellow SPGC seniors to the SWSC (South Wales Senior Classic) finals day at the Grove GC near Porthcawl.

On the day, the SWSC main competitions, the team Classic Cup and Bowl, were played for and decided, and the Claret Jug was also presented.

SWSC president Max Boyce was in attendance and he praised the SWSC for their continued support for the Air Ambulance, for which they have raised over £70,000 since their inception in 2004.

The South Pembs contingent pictured below with the Claret Jug winners, Brian and Phil, played a complementary round and then attended the presentation dinner; all enjoyed a thoroughly enjoyable day and after thanking the organisers for a wonderful time, returned with the trophy, which will stand proudly in the clubhouse in Pembroke Dock, until next year.
