We had a great day at the Manor for the recent Seniors Open and, with over 50 entries for the event, it meant an early start for some.

The course was in great shape, the weather was reasonable and, as well as members, players came from far and wide, all keen to do well.

Due to rain in the days leading up to the competition, the course was playing longer than usual, but it did not seem to worry Joe Howlin, who eneded up overall winner with an excecllent 39 points.

In second place was John Voysey on 36 pts, while best visitor was Rob Hall.

Winner of the 55/69 age group was Peter Fisher.

Winner of the 70-plus age group was Dennis Holloway.

Nearest the pin on the 12th was Martin Davies

Nearest the pin on the 16th was Graham Longster

Twos winners were Bryn Hughes and Joe Howlin.

My thanks go to all competiors for your support, also thank you to Ollie and all the staff at the club for their help and support.
