The June outing for the Castle Inn Golf Society was to Derllys Court golf Club, with an early 10 am start.
Fourteen members attended, some of whom had never played there before.
Five threeballs and one twoball played a stableford competition off the yellow tees, with full handicap.
And with 14 points to the winner down to one point for last, players could take advantage to move up the season-long league table
“The course was in excellent condition, the best I’ve played on this year, and thanks must go to all at the club for a very warm welcome and hospitality.
Competition was very close, with a lot of the places being decided on countback:
First was Paul Maytum with 34 points on countback; 2. Kevin Bolton 34; and 3. John Drury 33.
Nearest the pin, fifth hole - John Drury; longest drive, seventh hole - John Drury; nearest the pin in two, 13th hole - Neil Lane.
It was then back to headquarters for food, drink, the results and presentations. Thanks go to the Castle Inn, Manorbier, for their excellent food and drink.
Next outing is at Carmarthen Golf Club on July 6, at 10 am. Tee price is £28, to include green fees, food and prizes
