Tenby Walking Football is into its fifth year, with three sessions a week now taking place.

One of the organisers, Mick Bourne says that the activity is proving more popular than ever, with currently an over 50s and 60s team in a competition in Merthyr during the year, with Tenby also picking up a trophy in Carmarthen recently.

“We still encourage anybody - males or females - who would like to join, in a non-competitive group, to enjoy, keep moving, and meet new people!” he remarked.

“Walking Football is growing across Wales, and Pembrokeshire is no exception.

“The main aim is to help men and women to keep going, especially the over 50s, 60s and 70s.

“You don’t need to have played football - so come along and have a look!” added Mick.

Sessions take place at Tenby Leisure Centre on Saturdays from 11 am to 12 noon, for Over 50s; and on Thursday from 9.30 to 10.30 am, for 70s or over.

Sessions are also held in the Regencey Hall in Saundersfoot on a Wednesday for the over 50s, between 5.30 and 6.30 pm.
