A local football team are looking for funding help to improve facilities at the community club.

St Florence FC are raising money in order to supply wood to local firm Conbeer Construction who have agreed to do the labour for free for the village club, which includes carrying out work to upgrade the changing rooms.

As well as the first team benefiting from the improvements to facilities, so will the community’s youngsters and successful girls team.

Last year, to celebrate the Women’s World Cup, the Football Association of Wales Trust (FAW Trust) held one of the their FAW Trust Football Festivals at St Florence Village and Sports Ground, with some guest appearances from National players.

“We need your help in order to help improve our small, community football club. Any donations would be hugely welcome and would go towards funding for new goals and equipment which can be used by all who enjoy our playing fields,” said the club’s treasurer James Alexander Mackenzie.
