A Rob Whitfield goal was not enough to help Carew on Saturday after their travels to league leaders Goodwick United amounted to nothing.

The Rooks suffered at the hands of the Phoenix Park outfit who showed just why they are leading the way in Pembrokeshire football this season with a comprehensive 3-1 win.

Monkton Swifts had a comprehensive win, too, after bossing their home game against Angle.

The visitors may have scored three goals through Patrick McDonnagh and a Jack Seaton brace, but four goals from James Russell and one apiece by Martyn Carroll and Ben Nicholas ensured they came out on top.

It was close between Narberth and Lamphey as the Stags pushed the Bluebirds all the way,

The hosts won 2-1 after goals from Tony Evans and Chris Brown, while Lamphey’s goal came from the boot of Anthony Webb.

Pennar Robins bounced back from last week’s defeat to secure a fine win at home against Neyland.

The Nomads made it difficult for the Robins, however, scoring three goals in their 4-3 defeat.

Sam Southcott led the way for the hosts, scoring two goals, while Phil John and Luke Phillips netted the others.

In division two, Hundleton lost at home to Merlins Bridge 2-1, with Jack Richards scoring their only goal, while Kilgetty let a two-goal cushion slip at home to Hakin United as they eventually lost out 3-2.

Tom Baker scored both Kilgetty goals to give them a well deserved lead, but the Vikings bounced back to nip all three points.

The game between Lawrenny and Solva was postponed, as was the match between Saundersfoot Sports and Prendergast Villa.

It was on at St Clears, however, and the Saints were thankful it was after securing an epic 8-1 over Llangwm.

Jon Seeley was the star of the show with three goals, while the others came from Nick Squire, Jonny Thomas, William Evans, Joe Gouldingay and Nathan Evans.

Narberth seconds suffered a 2-0 defeat at Camrose in division three, while Carew seconds won 5-3 away at St. Florence thanks to goals from Dario Rossi, Jack Lear, Jordan Richards, Corey Hill and Neilson Cole.

For St Florence, the goals were scored by George Lander, Colin Batby and Lewis Deforge.

Pennar Robins’ seconds won 4-1 at Milford United, but the game between Pendine and Manorbier United was postponed as was the clash between West Dragons’ seconds and Pembroke Boro.

It was cup day in division four with the first round of matches taking place and Angle seconds will be not be progressing after suffering a 9-0 loss against Fishguard Sports’ seconds.

Lamphey seconds bombed out, too, after Monkton Swifts’ seconds showed their class in a 5-1 win.

Lawrence Ford scored for Lamphey, while Rhys Davies scored twice for the Swifts, alongside goals from Luke Hendry, Jordan Kilby and Wayne Boswell.

A win for Pennar Robins’ thirds, too, with a 4-1 victory at Solva seconds. Marco Valentine found the back of the net twice, with Leon Stewart and Jack Sullivan also finding their way onto the scoresheet.

The game between St. Clears’ seconds and St. Ishmaels’ seconds was postponed.

In division five, Carew thirds lost 5-1 at home against Camrose seconds, with Aled James scoring their only goal, while it was a great day for Cosheston AFC with an 8-1 home win over Milford Athletic.

Nathan Ferrier struck three for the hosts, with the others coming from Luke Wickland, Gavin Wickland, Bernard Schili, Ryan Bowen and Liam Elliot.

Lawrenny seconds won 2-1 at Milford United seconds, while there was a great game between Saundersfoot Sports’ seconds and Pembroke Boro seconds, with the Sports coming out on top 4-3.

Stuart Slater and Sean Edmundson scored for the Boro, while Matt Webb scored twice for the winners alongside Nathan Farmalow and Jake Webster.
