Carew got back to winning ways on Saturday racking up their ninth win of the season following a superb 7-0 win over Johnston.

The Tigers may have had home advantage, but it counted for little as the Rooks ravaged the hosts with a display of total football from start to finish.

The inspirational Jordan Richards was one again in fine form for the visitors, creating plenty of chances and finishing off three of his own while Scott Ferney, another great acquisition for the club, finished with a brace.

The other goals came from Iwan Izzard and Shaun Whitfield.

Lamphey played host to table toppers Merlins Bridge and despite home advantage the Wizards went away with the points following a 1-0 win.

Angle were involved in a superb tussle at Neyland yet the Nomads ran out 5-3 winners in the absorbing clash.

Nicholas and Connor Willis both scored for the visitors as did Josh Clark, but the home team proved just too good on the day in claiming their eighth win of the campaign.

Something quite extraordinary has happened at Pennar. After being in the bottom two for a good proportion of the season, the Robins managed to beat high flying Hakin and now they have beaten last year’s champions Goodwick.

In winning their fourth game of the season, they beat the Phoenix Park outfit 4-1 thanks to goals from Phil Thompson, Jason Donohoe, Craig Asparassa and Richard Hughes.

Tenby meanwhile went down to their seventh defeat of the season in losing 2-1 at home to Monkton Swifts.

Jack Christopher scored for the hosts, while Ryan Griffiths and Martin Carroll scored for the victors.

In division two, Hundleton (who will play Merlins Bridge seconds in the final of the division two cup) lost 4-2 at home to Clarbeston Road.

Marc Edwards and Geraint Lewis both scored for the home team, but it counted for little on the day.

Lawrenny lost too, losing 5-0 at home to Fishguard Sports, while Saundersfoot Sports lost by the same margin at Merlins Bridge seconds.

Better news for St. Clears however as the Saints who have picked up a bit of form of late, won away at Prendergast Villa.

Iestyn Scourfield scored their only goal.

There was defeat for Pennar Robins’ seconds at Camrose as they lost a tight game 4-3.

Gareth Stewart and Carl Res scored their goals.

Haydn Shapcott and Neilson Cole were in fine form for Carew seconds in their 2-0 win at Broad Haven in division three, while in the semi-final of the fourth division cup, Lamphey seconds beat St. Florence 3-1 to make it into the final.

In league action, two goals from Dalton Boswell and one by Lee Dignall helped Angle seconds to a 3-2 win at home to Herbrandston seconds, while Pennar Robins’ thirds lost 5-1 at Hubberston, Daniel Lynch scoring their only goal.

Phil John scored twice for Pembroke Boro, but it was to no avail after they lost 3-2 at Solva seconds, while St. Clears’ seconds lost too, losing 2-0 at home to Neyland reserves.

In division five, it was all square between Camrose seconds and their counterparts from Hundleton with the game finishing 2-2, while at Carew, Herbie Haggar and Tom Scourfield found the back of the net for the Rook’s third team in their home clash against Lawrenny seconds.

In a keenly-contested derby, the hosts just shaded it despite Rhys Baker’s effort for the travelling Gavenyards.

Kilgetty seconds endured a torrid time at home losing 6-0 against Monkton Swifts’ seconds.

Wayne Boswell scored the visitors’ first followed by a further four, while Liam Butland added the other.

Finally, Pembroke Boro seconds won the most exciting game of the day as they just shaded their match against Milford United thirds.

The Boro won 6-5 following hat-tricks from Sean Edmundson and Rhys Allison.
