With just one win from nine games and four points to show for their efforts all season, the last game St. Clears would have wanted over the weekend was a visit from leaders West Dragons.

Unfortunately that’s what they got and the result didn’t go their way as they lost 2-0 against the division’s front runners.

Narberth travelled away to Herbrandston and came away with the points on offer after a convincing 3-0 win that manager Peter Fearne felt should have been more emphatic.

“We should have scored more to be honest,” said the Bluebirds’ boss. “We were 2-0 up and then they had a man sent off and we made it 3-0 after that, but with the chances we had, we should have won by more.

“It was a good performance by us though, we’ve started to click a little of late, especially after the disappointing start we had, so hopefully we can keep it going and push on from here.”

Jordan Williams scored all three for the visitors.

Haydn Shapcott found the back of the net for Carew, but his goal couldn’t prevent the hosts from going down 2-1 to Angle who won their fourth of the season after Lee Brockway and Lee Ferrier scored, while Tenby found it too difficult at Neyland.

The Nomads have developed a strong squad this season as the Seasiders found to their cost by going down 4-2. The visitors’ goals were scored by Sam Christopher and Richard Perry.

In division two, second place Lamphey continued their impressive form by beating St. Ishmaels 3-1. Nico Morrison, Sam Southcott and Josh Dearsley all scored for the Stags as they eased to yet another win in the Royal George sponsored clash.

Hundleton won their fifth of the season after seeing off Goodwick United’s second string at home. Goals by Arran Goldsmith and Luke Phillips were enough to secure the points for last year’s cup winners.

Monkton Swifts will be hoping All White Laundry sponsor their games again as they obviously proved to be a happy omen for the hosts as they won 5-2 against Milford Athletic.Ryan Griffiths scored twice for the Swifts, while the other goals came from Jimmy Walker, Lee Probert and Ben Nicholas.

Lawrenny continue to struggle as yet another defeat keeps them down at the lower end of the table. They visited Prendergast Villa where the hosts inflicted a 7-2 defeat on the division’s battlers. Matt Lewis and James Durbridge were the men to score for the visitors.

Meanwhile, at Saundersfoot, the Sports were held 2-2 against Solva, with Rhys Hewson and Ryan Howells scoring for the hosts.

Kilgetty won their sixth game of the season with a narrow 1-0 result over Carew seconds. James John scored the Kingsmoor outfit’s only goal.

It was a good day for Narberth seconds, too, after they overcame Johnston seconds with an easy 7-0 win. Nick Jones led the way for the Bluebirds, scoring four goals, while Ben John struck twice and Jordan Thomas once in the emphatic victory.

Cosheston Cougars drew 4-4 at Camrose, while Saundersfoot seconds also secured the same result after their 4-4 draw at Hubberston. Rhys Baker, Jason Brides, Donovan Griffin and Russell Evans all scored for the visitors.

Pennar Robins’ seconds had a good day at Bush Camp beating Manorbier United 3-0 after a penalty by Neil Hughes and one each by Jamie Morgan and Liam Gammer.

St. Clears’ seconds lost 4-1 at Llangwm, while Pendine had a great day at Solva seconds, winning 7-0 thanks to four goals by Ian Derbyshire and one each from Ricky Hunt, Julian Blewitt and Rob Thomas.

The game between Angle seconds and Carew thirds was postponed after Carew failed to raise a side, while Pembroke Boro’s defensive frailties came back to haunt them in an open game at home to Fishguard seconds.

The home team went down 6-3, despite Jason Beynon, Phil John and Andy Martin all scoring.

Meanwhile in the division four cup, Narberth thirds lost 6-2 at Pennar Robins’ thirds, despite goals from Nathan Davies and Ceiran Lewis.

St. Florence are also out after going down 4-3 at St. Ishmaels’ seconds.

The visitors claimed a goal from a home team own goal and then Adam Roberts and Josh Forge both scored, but it wasn’t enough on the day.

In division five, Kilgetty seconds lost 9-1 against their counterparts from Tenby, while an own goal by Broad Haven seconds was Monkton Swifts’ only highlight against them after they lost 3-1.

In the derby between Cosheston Cougars’ seconds and Hundleton seconds, the honours went to the visitors after a 3-1 win, while Lawrenny seconds won 2-1 at home to Llangwm seconds after an own goal and one by Jack Brown.

Lamphey seconds won 4-2 at Milford United thirds, while a hat-trick of goals by Jordan Wright was enough for Pembroke Boro seconds to win 3-1 at West Dragons reserves.
