St. Clears bounced back from last week’s defeat at the hands of Pennar Robins to secure a draw down at Herbrandston. Two goals from Sean Seymour Davies were enough to secure a share of the spoils for the West Carmarthenshire club on a pitch that is notoriously difficult for visiting teams to play on.
Narberth secured a 2-2 draw also as they were held at home to Goodwick United. The result could go down as one of the Bluebirds’ best of the season, given Goodwick’s excellent start. Dorian Davies and Jordan Williams were the men to score for the hosts.
Life is proving tough for Carew and Saturday was no exception after losing 4-1 at Merlins Bridge. The teams were equal on points going into the game, yet the Wizards moved up the table after securing the relatively straightforward win despite Tom Grover’s goal for the visitors.
Angle pulled off what could be classed as the shock result of the division by beating Pennar Robins 2-0. The result shows how Angle have grown over the past few months and are now able to mix it with all the teams in the division. Chris Richards was the man on form for the visitors as he banged in both goals to secure the points.
Meanwhile at The Clicketts and it proved to be a tense afternoon for Tenby as they hung on for a 4-3 win over table-toppers West Dragons. Joe Leahy shone in scoring a brace, while Sam Christopher and Richard Perry scored the other goals for the victors.
Monkton Swifts were certainly on form after completing an easy 7-0 win over Goodwick United seconds, while a goal by Dylan Davies allowed Hundleton to draw 1-1 with Saundersfoot Sports.
A hat-trick by Owen James and one by Mathew Lewis was enough for Lawrenny to earn a 4-1 win over Letterston, while leaders Lamphey proved why they are heading division two with an easy 9-1 win at Milford Athletic.Will Davies finished the game with three to his name as did Sam Southcott, while Josh Dearsley netted twice and Ben Phillips once.
In division three, Pennar Robins’ seconds went down 6-0 at Camrose, while Carew seconds managed a fine 4-2 win over Johnston seconds thanks to Grant James’s hat-trick and Alan Townsend’s strike.
Narberth seconds secured an excellent 6-2 win away at Cosheston Cougars, while Kilgetty went down 3-1 at home to Broad Haven with Josh Lewis scoring the hosts’ solitary goal.
Manorbier United lost 4-2 away at Milford United seconds and it was all-square between Saundersfoot Sports’ seconds and Merlins Bridge reserves as Toby Poole and Ross Gray scored for the hosts.
Defeat, too, for St. Clears’ seconds after a 2-1 loss at home to Pembroke Boro. Daniel Steele scored the Saints only goal, with Phil John scoring for the away team.
Nick Davies found the back of the net for Carew thirds, yet his goal wasn’t enough to save the hosts from going down 3-1 at home to Llangwm.
Pendine showed just why they are serious contenders for promotion after securing an emphatic 8-0 win at home over Narberth thirds. Robbie Waters starred for the winners, hitting five goals in the rout, with the others coming from the boots of Nathan Davies, Callum Sydal and Paul Langdon.
Jamie Roberts scored for St. Florence in their 8-1 loss at home to Fishguard Sports, while a Craig Asparassa goal secured a 1-1 result for Pennar Robins’ thirds at St Ishmaels seconds.
Angle seconds won 4-2 at home to Neyland thanks to a Thomas Grimwood brace and one each from Darren Mason and Connor Willis, while there were plenty of one-sided games in division five and Pendine seconds and Kilgetty seconds were at the wrong end of them.
Pendine lost 5-0 at Lamphey seconds, while Pembroke Boro seconds showed no mercy on Kilgetty by winning 11-0. The goals for the Boro were scored by Matthew Smith, who hit four, Jason Evans and Adam Barlow, with two each, while Adam Turner, William Wallace and Rhys Allison all scored once.
Angle seconds won 4-2 at home to Neyland thanks to a Thomas Grimwood brace and one each from Darren Mason and Connor Willis, while Lamphey seconds cruised to a 5-0 win over Pendine seconds as Jake Campbell and Anthony Webb both scored twice together with a Lewis Haines strike, while Tenby seconds beat Llangwm seconds 11-0.
Lawrenny seconds won 4-0 at Milford United thirds, while Monkton Swifts’ seconds managed to earn the bragging rights between them and Cosheston Cougars’ seconds thanks to a 2-1 win. Liam Stapleton and Dan Nolan scored for the hosts and Liam Butland for the visitors.
Finally, Hundleton seconds won 3-2 at West Dragons reserves.
