St. Clears went down to one of their heaviest defeats in the first division after losing 10-1 at Hakin United. The heavy scoreline belies the fact that the visitors actually went ahead through Steffan Hughes and managed to hold the Vikings to 1-1 at half-time until the floodgates opened in the second, leaving the Saints bottom of the division.
Carew are just one place above them after they, too, suffered a heavy defeat at the hands of Herbrandston. James Adie provided the only bright spot in their afternoon’s work as they lost 6-1.
Narberth went down 4-2 at home against West Dragons, with last year’s Bluebirds player manager Matthew Price scoring a first half hat-trick against his former team. Greg Fearne and Dylan Blain scored for the hosts, but Price’s burst was enough to put them down for their third defeat of the season.
Goals by Patrick McDonagh and James Groves were enough for Pennar Robins to overcome Tenby 2-1, with Curtis Hurlow scoring the home team’s solitary goal, while Angle went down 3-2 at Neyland. Nathan Ferrier and Jake Seaton scored for the visitors, but a brace by Justin Harding and one by Mike Chandler put paid to any hopes of a victory.
Lamphey continue to lead the way in division two after they racked up their third win of the season following a 3-2 win over Clarbeston Road, while Saundersfoot Sports produced one of their best displays in years after annihilating Haverfordwest Cricket Club 6-0.
A brace by Jack Blunsden and one by Craig Manning were enough for Hundleton to beat Letterston 3-0, but it was a day to forget for Lawrenny after they lost 4-0 at St. Ishmaels.
A defeat, too, for Monkton Swifts, going down 4-3 at Prendergast Villa. Dan Scourfield scored twice for the away team and Mike Canton once, but it wasn’t enough to overcome the hosts.
Narberth seconds endured a better day at Camrose, however, as they beat the hosts 6-3. A brace apiece by Nick and Carl Jones, together with one by Chris Fearson and Ben John, was enough to secure all three points.
Kilgetty, meanwhile, produced a solid home display to tie 1-1 with Hakin United’s seconds. Jamie Gorman scored for the Kingsmoor outfit.
It was all-square at Carew, with the home team’s seconds drawing 2-2 with Manorbier United. Brad Jones scored both for the hosts, while the away team’s goals came via an own goal and one by Jake Webster.
Cosheston Cougars continue to rule the roost in the division after they secured their fourth win of the season at home to Johnston seconds. Phil Hay led the way with a brace, with the other goals coming from Wayne Boswell and Luke Hendry.
Down the road at Bush Camp and Pennar Robins’ seconds won, too, with a 2-1 win over Clarbeston Road seconds. Craig Bendall and Paul Sly scored the home team’s goal for their third win of the campaign.
Meanwhile at Saundersfoot, the home team’s seconds made it a day to remember for the club after they beat Herbrandston seconds 4-2 with goals from Ross Gray, Matt Webb and two from Don Griffin.
In division four, Pendine secured their best victory of the season so far with a crushing 5-0 win over Prendergast Villa. Robbie Waters led the way with two, before Justin Blewitt, Keiron Lewis and Nathan Davies all got in on the act.
St. Clears’ seconds lost 2-0 at home against Carew reserves as Max Hunter and Nick Davies scored, while Narberth thirds tied 1-1 with Solva seconds after Ben Gillard scored for the Bluebirds.
Goals from Jason Davies and Luke Wallace secured a 2-1 win for Angle seconds over Fishguard Sports’ reserves, while Dan Meredith and Gareth Scarfe scored for Pennar thirds in their 2-0 win over Letterston seconds.
St. Florence lost 4-2 to Llangwm, despite a brace of goals from Colin Batley, while Pembroke Boro won 6-0 at St. Ishmaels’ seconds, with the goals shared between Marc Evans, Paul Sharp, Phil John, Josh Sture and two from Jason Beynon.
Finally, in division five, Kilgetty seconds beat their counterparts from Broad Haven 1-1 after Christian Philips scored, while a serious injury to a Pendine seconds player forced the abandonment of their game against Llangwm seconds.
Tenby seconds drew 1-1 with Lamphey seconds after Jamie Aries scored for the Stags and Patrick McKeown for the Seasiders, while Hundleton seconds won 3-1 at Milford United thirds.
Monkton Swifts’ seconds beat Camrose seconds 10-0, with Liam Stapleton scoring six against the hapless visitors and Liam Finnegan twice. The other goals came from Jason Finnegan and Rob Davies.
There were goals galore at Pembroke Boro, too, after the home team’s seconds scored seven against Lawrenny seconds, beating them 7-1. Jason Evans scored three, while the others came from Jordan Wright, Lee Walker, Adam Barlow and an own goal, while Lawrenny’s goal was scored by James Phillips.
More goals at West Dragons also after their seconds beat Cosheston seconds 13-2, with both Cougar goals coming from Jamie Preece.
