Congratulations to St Florence Girls under 12s who competed in the Pembrokeshire Girls Cup Tournament 2017/18 in Camrose over the weekend, and grabbed the trophy by winning a ‘nerve-racking’ penalty shoot out!

The team consisted of - Alex, Ellie, Fiona, Sienna, Mabli, Teigan (capt), Connie, Laura, Meg and Ruby.

St Florence topped their group beating Johnston, Clarbeston Road and drawing with Neyland, before then playing the runners up in group two - Camrose who they defeated 2-0.

They then faced Ffostrasol in the final, which was a fiercely competitive encounter with neither side being able to make a breakthrough in normal or extra time.

This led to a very nerve-racking penalty shoot out, with St Florence winning the shoot out 3-1 and lifting the cup to be Pembrokeshire Girls under 12s cup winners 2017/2018.

Goal scorers on the day were Connie with three, Alex (2) and Mabli.

Fiona, Ruby and Teigan converted their kicks in the shoot out and special praise goes to Alex who saved three penalties.
