It was a day of excitement at Carew as the hosts beat the rain and a Lawrenny fightback to remain top of division one.
The Rooks posted a score of 173-8 in their innings as Nic Scourfield struck 43 and Tom Scourfield 39 against Robert Williams and Harry Thomas sharing five wickets.
In reply, the visitors were 15-4 at one stage before showing great character to finish all out on 134 with Patrick Elliott passing 50 and Ian Jenkins hitting 20.
Tom and Rhys Davis took 4-25 and 3-34, respectively, for the winners.
Cresselly remain hot on their heels, however, as they beat Haverfordwest to record a six wicket win.
The Town were all out for 136 thanks to Dan Cherry taking four wickets and Neil Gregory and Simon Cole two each.
In reply, Iwan Izzard hit 57 and Adam Chandler 22 in the easy victory.
They batted first, were all out for 92 and Whitland passed it for the loss of two wickets.
For Pembroke, Paul White hit 35 and Barry Evans 28 for Whitland, Iestyn Scourfield and Greg Sleep both took three wickets and Wayne Howells two.
A loss for Kilgetty, too, after losing by four wickets at home to Neyland.
The home team were all out for 118 as Jack Tucker hit 45 and Kurtis Marsh 31, while Neyland hit 122-6 with Ollie Gamble, Johnnie Harries and Ross Hardy taking a brace apiece.
In division two, Stackpole caused a kerfuffle by beating Carew seconds. Carew were dismissed for 117 as Anthony Canton took 6-34 and in reply Josh Davies struck 38 and John Williams an unbeaten 35.
For Carew, Dai Rees scored 34, Ian Sefton 31 and James Hinchliffe and Harry Cook took three wickets each as Stackpole reached 121-6.
Whitland seconds accounted for Haverfordwest seconds in a narrow victory at home.
Haverfordwest were all out for 172 thanks to Gethin Scourfield’s 4-28 and Martin Thomas’s 3-46.
In the winning reply, David Lee scored 64, James Thomas 33 not out, Paul Oeppen 26 and Nathan Evans 24.
Narberth remain second after their fine form brought them their eighth win of the season with victory over Burton.
When Narberth were all out for 88 they wouldn’t have had much hope of winning, but thanks to Ben Quartermaine’s 6-24 and David John’s 3-19 they did as Burton were all out for 63!
Earlier, Kyle Quartermaine scored 38 and Ben Hughes 23.
No such joy for Saundersfoot, however, after they lost by four wickets at Llechryd.
Batting first, Saundersfoot were all out for 107, with Paul Mansbridge hitting 46. Tony Pappachan then took two wickets in Llechryd’s reply, but it wasn’t enough to pull off a win.
Scott Arthur scored a fabulous hundred for Cresselly seconds after they eased to a seven-wicket victory over Pembroke Dock who batted first and reached 167-8 thanks to Luke Murray’s 56 not out and Peter Kingdom’s 65.
Richard Harries took three wickets for Cresselly, but in their reply, Arthur was a form above anyone else in hitting a majestic ton in the win. Neal Williams and Mike Shaw hit 24 and 22, respectively.
Down the road at Lawrenny and the hosts pulled off a superb win against Lamphey after the Stags looked to be romping to a win thanks to Lewis Haines’s 52 and Tom Powell’s 30.
They were replying to Lawrenny’s 172-8, with Steve Campbell hitting 43, Hugh Morris 40 and Julian Arthur 22.
Andrew Skeels took 4-39 for Lamphey and Steve Cole 3-27 for the hosts as the visitors collapsed to be 160 all out.
Narberth seconds remain top of division four thanks to a five-wicket win over Burton seconds who were all out for 135 as Richard Howell took 5-31 and Matthew Johns 3-24.
In reply, Emyr Jenkins hit 24 not out and Mike Johns an unbeaten 20 to lead them to victory.
Hundleton could only draw with Llechryd seconds who batted first and hit 173-5, Chris Stapleton taking 3-35 for the hosts.
In reply, John Williams scored 32 and John Tysoe 28 as the home side reached 128-8.
Finally, Saundersfoot seconds secured the narrowest of wins as they beat St. Ishmaels’ seconds by two runs.
The home team were all out for 186, with Yannik Parker being dismissed three short of a memorable hundred and Spencer O’Rourke and Lewis Caitt hitting 20 each.
Parker then took 2-39, Nic Cope 2-46 and Arran Kawale 2-45 as Tish were all out for 184!
Meanwhile, the game between Pembroke Dock seconds and Carew thirds didn’t last long as the Dock were all out for 49 after Ashley Smith took 3-13, Jeremy Griffiths 3-5 and Ewan Waters 3-7. Only Archie Hillier with 11 scored anything of note.
In reply, Smith hit 22 not out to ensure the win in record time.
Haverfordwest fourths lost to leaders Laugharne who dismissed the town for 128 after Steve Davies took 5-16.
Shane Williams then hit 51 and Dwane Reynolds 37 as the visitors won by six wickets.
Whitland thirds are in second despite losing to Neyland thirds. Whitland scored 184-6, with Neyland hitting 185-8.
For Whitland, Adam Davies scored 67 and Dan Newton 47, with Steffan Lee taking 3-14, Gwynne Phillips 2-37 and Welsh international Siriol Jenkins 2-39.
