Sean Whitfield and Tim Hicks inspired Carew to a fantastic four-wicket win at Haverfordwest as the Rooks made the hosts toil on a slow, low wicket.
Batting first, the home side struggled to 123-7 off their allotted overs as Whitfield took 4-64.
In reply, Carew lost six wickets, but Hicks was in fine form, caressing 59 match-winning runs.
The result saw them climb to the top of the division one table.
Cresselly were seven miles south at Neyland and they struggled against the home team, who batted first and scored 171 all out. Ryan Lewis took 3-34 for the visitors.
In reply, few of the Cresselly batsmen could get going, despite Phil WIlliams hitting 35 and Neilson Cole 31 not out, as they closed on 128-8.
Whitland gained their second win of the season with a four-wicket win over Johnston.
Johnston reached 224 all out, with Jonathan Thomas taking 4-52. He then scored 20 in the reply alongside Geraint Jones’s 124 and Matthew Davies’ 32 not out.
In reply, Pembroke reached 115-7 as Jack Harries hit 46. Jamie Lewis took 3-15 for the visitors.
It was a close game at Kilgetty as the home team hung on for a 16-run victory.
Kurtis Marsh hit 31 for the Kingsmoor outfit after they batted first, with Tom Lewis also hitting 27.
In reply, Tish kept creeping along to the total, but lost wickets at crucial times as Anthony Bevan took 4-18
Narberth went down to their first loss of the season after a three-run defeat at Llangwm.
Llangwm were 124 all out after Ben Quartermaine took 3-13 and Ben Hughes 4-42.
Narberth inched their way to the total, with Jordan Howells hitting 27, but agonisingly fell short.
Scott Richards struck 53, Nick Davies 52 and Chris Cole 46 not out as Carew piled on the runs against Saundersfoot after the home team scored 233-6.
In reply, Saundersfoot were skittled for 82 after Jacob Knox took 4-20 and Harry Cook 4-21.
Earlier, Morgan Slate took 4-67 for the Seasiders.
Defeat for Stackpole, too, despite home advantage over Whitland seconds. Stackpole scored 182-7, with Josh Davies, returning to the side, hitting 46 and Richard Mackay 41.
Connor Bowen took 3-40 for the Borderers, while Gethin Benjamin and Wayne Howells took two wickets apiece.
In reply, Wayne Jones struck 84 not out and Howells 22 not out to claim the win. Simon Bevan took 3-24 for the Lillies.

Lamphey slipped to second in division three after they lost by three wickets against Herbrandston.
Lewis Haines scored a superb 119 for the Stags, the club’s second centurion of the week following James Skeels’s 109 not out against Hook in the Duggie Morris in the week.
The next highest score was David Blackwell’s 19.
Lamphey did enough to win the game except catch their catches as 10 went down in total, with Herbie creeping over the line in the 37 over.
Hywel Gibbs took 3-46 for the hosts and Andrew Skeels 4-54.
Pembroke Dock went down to their first loss of the season after a four-wicket defeat against Hook.
The Dock were skittled for 106 as Peter Kingdom struck 46 and Johnnie Hay 23.
Neil Hallett took 3-15 in reply and John Cumani 3-30, but Hook were too strong on the day.
Lawrenny seconds won by six wickets at home to Llanrhian seconds, who could only manage 120-9 in their innings.
Tom Cole took 3-15 for the hosts and Matthew Kidney 3-31.
In reply, Andrew Cole hit 43 and Tom Cole 22, with Steve Campbell striking a fluent 34 to ensure victory.
In division four, Narberth seconds had few issues against Hundleton, who were all out for 100 in reply to the home team’s 199-5.
David Johns hit 73 for Narberth and Matthew Johns 67 not out.
In reply, Nic Evans took 3-33 and Johns 3-13 to bowl the visitors out, for whom John Williams hit 29.
Kilgetty seconds won the derby against Saundersfoot Seconds, who scored 137-8 in their innings thanks to Simon Stanford’s 40 and Chris Parker’s 40. Anthony Lewis took 5-18 for Kilgetty.
In reply, Kilgetty scored 143-3 thanks to Andrew Evans’s 66 and Oli Gamble’s 41 not out.
Nigel Phillips rolled back the years for Pembroke to strike a superb 102 not out in their draw against Burton seconds.
Burton hit 203-5, with Chris Thomas taking 2-13 and in reply Pembroke reached 161-6 as Phillips’s class told alongside Adrian Phillips’s 34.
Meanwhile, in division five, Whitland thirds beat Carew thirds by 41 runs after the Borderers scored 140-8.
Steffan Lewis scored 28 and Mark Lee the same, despite Rhys Canton and Rhys Grigg taking two wickets apiece.
Carew were then all out for 99 after Gwynne Phillips’s 4-15.
Laugharne beat Llangwm seconds to remain top of the table after they scored 175-9.
Craig Hurst scored 67 and Kevin Pearce 62, while Duane Reynolds took 3-24 to skittle Llangwm for just 63.
Pembroke Dock seconds gave a spirited performance against Haverfordwest fourths, but they went down by 41 runs.
The Town scored 169 all out, with the Dock hitting 128 all out. Glyn Griffiths hit 31.
Finally, Stackpole seconds beat Neyland thirds by four wickets after Neyland were all out for 76 thanks to Tom Corbett’s 3-4 and George Smith’s 3-10. Russell Roberts took 2-20.
In reply, Smith hit 21 not out to ensure victory.
