Ian Sefton and Brian Hall showed Johnston just how good they are with unbeaten scores of 60 and 40 respectively as Carew beat the Tigers by nine wickets. Earlier, Tom Davies took 3-8 as the visitors were all out for 114 with the Rooks passing it with ease.

Cresselly had an easy win too beating Llanrhian by 95 runs after amassing a score of 263-3 thanks to Iwan Izzard’s 70 not out, Phil Williams’s 61, Adam Chandler’s 57 and Alex Bailey’s unbeaten 40.

In reply, Sam Harts took 3-31, Mike Shaw 3-47 and Tom Arthur and Ryan Lewis two apiece as the Cows were all out for 168.

Richie Adam’s magnificent 104 not out was not enough to help Narberth overcome Neyland as the home side won by five wickets.

Chasing 168, the hosts breezed to victory despite Ben Hughes taking 3-53.

Steve Lewis was back to his destructive best for Lawrenny as the talented stroke maker struck an unbeaten 93 to help the Gavenyards post a score of 201-4.

Brad Jenkins struck 41 and James Buckle was unbeaten on the same in their total.

It helped them to a six wicket win after St. Ishmaels were restricted to 200-8 thanks to Simon Cole’s 3-44 and Lewis’s 2-45.

Elsewhere, Whitland were all out for a mere 65 at Haverfordwest with the hosts passing it for the loss of no wickets.

Carew seconds won by eight wickets at Hook after the hosts were all out for 150 tanks to James Hinchcliffe’s 5-33.

In reply, Haydn Shapcott hit an unbeaten 29 and Dafydd Bevan 71 to help the visitors home.

A fine all-round performance by Toby Poole helped Kilgetty to a seven wicket win at home against Cresselly seconds who batted first and scored 205-7. Scott Arthur hit 68 and Lyn Richards 36 in their total as Poole took 3-51.

In reply, he hit a fluent 68 and Tom Lewis 47 with Ross Hardy unbeaten on 48 and Kurtis Marsh hitting 37 as the Kingsmoor outfit strolled home.

Whitland seconds had a fine six wicket win at home against their counterparts from Haverfordwest after the town were all out for 140 thanks to Ben Harvey’s 3-28, Geraint Phillips’s 3-24 and Jack Bowen’s 3-47.

Bowen then hit 39 not out and Nathan Evans 45 as Hywel Bevan was there at the close unbeaten on 27.

Despite scoring 201-9, Stackpole went down to their third defeat of the season losing by three wickets against Llangwm.

Huw Cox was back in the Shire to hit 81 and John Williams 41 in their total which Llangwm past with relative ease. Cox took 3-20 for the Lillies.

Meanwhile, Pembroke’s Phil Hay can lay claim to being one of the most in-form batsmen in the county as he hit an enterprising 82 alongside jack Harries’s 30 and Paul White’s 39 in helping their team amass 200-8 in reply to Burton’s 223 all out.

Billy Wood took 2-57 for the visitors and Colin James 3-36.

In Division Three, Hook seconds and Crymych failed to raise teams for their matches against Haverfordwest thirds and Saundersfoot respectively, while Lamphey ground out a dogged two wicket win over Herbrandston.

Pembroke Dock remain winless after losing by nine wickets against Lawrenny seconds, with Llechryd winning at home against Neyland seconds.

In division four, there were wins for Burton seconds over Pembroke seconds, Llanrhian thirds against Carew thirds and Fishguard over Narberth seconds.

Meanwhile, John Williams’s 94 helped Hundleton draw with Llechryd and Johnston seconds beat their counterparts from Saundersfoot by seven wickets.

There was no game for Whitland thirds in division five, while Kilgetty seconds ensured the club had the double over Cresselly with a six wicket win against the hosts’ thirds.

Cresselly were all out for 96 with Kilgetty passing it for the loss of four batsmen.

Pembroke Dock seconds lost by nine wickets against St. Ishmaels’ seconds with Stackpole seconds losing by five wickets against Llangwm reserves.
