Pembrokeshire has a long cricketing history - there are references to the game being played by fashionable visitors to Tenby over 200 years ago.
To set the scene for the forthcoming Narberth Museum exhibition of local cricketing memorabilia, Keith Johnson will be giving an illustrated talk on the history of the sport in Pembrokeshire, from the days when it was exclusively a game for the local gentry through to the formation of the present-day Pembrokeshire County Cricket Club.
The museum would love to hear from people who have cricketing photographs or items that can be copied or loaned for the exhibition to be created later in the year.
Please contact [email protected] or ring (01834) 860500.
The talk will take place at the museum on Thursday, March 3, at 7.30 pm.
Tickets, at £5 or £4 for Friends of Narberth Museum, can be bought online at http://www.narberthmuseum.co.uk/intro-to-pembs-cricket/ or on the night.
