In an engrossing match at Narberth, the top two teams in Division Two kept neutral spectators captivated until the very last ball before Narberth clinched a thrilling three runs win over Carew.

The hosts scored 163-5, with Kyle Quatermaine leading the way with an attacking innings of 90 which included 14 fours and one six, supported by his brother Ben with 31. Tom Davies took 3-27 and Rhys Davies 2-42.

The Carew batsmen looked for boundaries from the start of their innings and later may have regretted not pushing the ball into space for the ones and twos more often.

Narberth bowled and fielded very well and chances were snapped up eagerly with some top class fielding. Nick Davies scored 37, Tim Hicks 21 and Rhys Davies 17.

Ben Quatermaine bowled well to take 4-27 and David Johns and Ben Hughes each picked up a brace of wickets.

At Pembroke Dock, the hosts were bowled out for 145 by Lawrenny although the Third Division team put on a good show with the bat.

Jake Griffiths attacked with relish to score 45, Johnnie Hay backed up with 27 and the reliable Peter Kingdom chipped in with 26.

All-rounder Rob Williams took 4-38 for the First Division team and Ryan Morton 3-28.

After James Phillips fell for 27, Harry Thomas and skipper Brad McDermott Jenkins knocked off the winning runs as each batsmen scored 55no with a total 19 fours between them.

At Neyland, two leading Division One sides were involved in a low scoring match. The visitors Haverfordwest scored 100-8 and Neyland won by four wickets with a total of 101-6.
