A fantastic night was enjoyed by nearly 80 members of Cresselly Cricket Club on Friday.
The Begelly Arms played host to the dinner, and their fantastic food and service was a credit to their staff.
After enjoying a three-course meal, treasurer Lyn Richards proposed a toast to the club’s sponsors and guests. Main club sponsors Sue and Rick were thanked, alongside many others who have supported the club financially this year.
The club could not run without its army of volunteers and all of these were also thanked for their hard work throughout the season.
Speeches were led by Michael Shaw, Thomas Arthur, Luke Cole and Becky Williams, who reflected on a season which led to both the first team and second team finishing runners-up in their divisions and it being a season of ‘What ifs?’ and ‘Maybes’.
Clubman of the Year was unanimously given to club chairman Richard Arthur, whose dedication throughout the season has meant the club has run smoothly throughout.
The club will be looking forward to the annual general meeting later this year and looking to approach the new season with fresh vigour and enthusiasm.
Thankyou to everyone who has supported Cresselly Cricket Club in 2015.
