Neyland will play Cresselly in the final of the Harrison-Allen Bowl after the clubs defeated Whitland and Haverfordwest in their respective semi-finals on neutral grounds.
At Carew in the first semi-final, the bowlers had the edge for much of the match, despite a good batting wicket and ideal weather conditions.
Whitland batted first and, although opener Geraint Jones scored 15 from the first over, his team were bowled out for a meagre 97 as the Neyland bowlers and fielders did an excellent job.
Jones scored a quick fire 24, Iestyn Davies 21 and Matthew Davies chipped in with 14.
For Neyland, Nathan Banner took 3-34, Jamie Smith 2-13 and wrist spinner Andrew Miller 3-22.
In reply, Neyland were soon in deep trouble at 9-3 as Iestyn Scourfield took out three early order batsmen quickly.
Ashley Sutton and Nick Koomen dug deep to keep the wicket-hungry bowlers at bay.
Gradually their concentration and technique paid dividends as runs started to come.
Eventually the partnership blossomed as the pair won the match for their team in an unbroken fourth wicket stand of 89.
Koomen took on the support role in his chanceless 30no and Sutton displayed his full range of skills with some scintillating shots all around the pitch in his innings of 64no from 38 balls.
He scored the winning runs with an inventive overhead glance to the fine leg boundary.
In contrast at Pembroke Dock, spectators were treated to a run feast, with the teams scoring 397 runs in total during the evening as batsmen of both teams plundered runs and ran well between the stumps.
Cresselly set a challenging total of 188-6. In form opener Adam Chandler scored 56 and Alex Bayley 33 in an opening stand of 67.
The run rate was maintained as Iwan Izzard with 22 and Dan James scored 30no from 15 deliveries.
Left arm spin merchant Simon Holiday took 4-55 and paceman Adam James 1-36 from his six overs.
Opener Simon Holiday lost two partners early in the innings, but was joined by skipper Danny Potter in a third wicket partnership of 75, which gave the Haverfordwest response a solid platform.
Holiday scored 58 and Potter 50 from just 31 balls.
The momentum was maintained throughout the innings as Chris Phillips scored 21, Adam James 12 and Nigel Delaney 11 at a rate of well over a run a ball.
The match ended in a tie as the Haverfordwest innings ended on 188-9.
Dan James took 4-54, Ryan Lewis 2-37, with Mike Shaw and Sam Harts picking up a wicket apiece.
For the second times this season the ‘Super Over’ came into play. Each team nominated their batsmen and chose one bowler each.
Cresselly totalled 12-2. Amazingly, when Haverfordwest replied with one ball of their super over left, all three results were possible.
Bowler Sam Harts and the Cresselly fielders held their nerves and Haverfordwest were restricted to a total of 9-1 in a match which will be a talking point amongst cricketers for years to come.
What no one could have predicted was that the result was the first of three successive defeats for Haverfordwest in a period of four days!
The final will be played at Cresselly on Saturday, July 29, and the two innings per side match of 22 overs each will commence at 12 noon..
