The chair of Tenby in Bloom has praised a local youngster for doing his bit to help keep the resort clean as part of his Duke of Edinburgh’s Award scheme.

James Goodwin-Close has been undertaking clean-ups at areas around the South Beach to try and combat littering and make a difference to the area visually.

“James has done an excellent job in that area and it’s not been easy down there due to the amount of inconsiderate owners that irresponsibly leave their dogs foul in that area,” said In Bloom chair Clr. Mrs. Sue Lane.

“He has worked hard for the past few months to make a difference, and I’m delighted that he could help the Tenby in Bloom cause whilst working towards his bronze Duke of Edinburgh’s Award.

“If any youngsters or students in the area that are willing to come forward and do their bit for the town like James has, and at the same time works towards such an award or bachelorette - then please do get in touch through the Tenby in Bloom Facebook page,” she added.
