May 4, will see the beginning of the annual Mayday Appeal for Tenby RNLI which focuses on getting all our brave crews kitted out in the best available gear.
The symbol of the Mayday Appeal is the Yellow Wellie, and you can get your yellow wellie badge at the RNLI shop in the Boathouse.
On Saturday, May 4, there will be a Yellow Wellie tombola stall outside St. Mary’s Church from 10 am and there will be collecting buckets throughout the town.
Doreen Mortimer and her band of shop volunteers will be holding an ongoing raffle in the boathouse for a soft toy version of Stormy Stan, and the month will end with a cake stall in the Boathouse on Saturday, May 25.
Please come along and support our crew and help them to save lives around our coasts.
Tenby RNLI Fundraisers are grateful to Terry Evans, Dai Ellis and Tenby Sailing Club for hosting a great quiz and Bangers and Mash evening at the beginning of the month.
The teams all performed well and there was plenty of banter even though the quizmaster assured us that he was always right - even when he was wrong! He even managed to get a few maths tests in for old time’s sake!
The food was delicious and once again the team of Penally Crows were victorious - with a little help from their friends! The magnificent total of £283 was raised for the RNLI. Thanks to everyone who supported
On April 7, an inspiring service of ‘Blessing the Boats’ was held in St. Julian’s Church on the Harbour, with every boat on the hard and in the harbour being blessed by name before returning to the water on the following Monday. The collection taken was £115 and this was generously donated to the RNLI. We are grateful to Rector, Andrew Grace and Verger, Laurence Blackhall and to all those who contributed.
