Pictured is World War II?glider pilot Ian Kerr-Bonner who took to the air on Friday to fly from Pembrokeshire to Kent to say a final farewell to a former comrade.

The 94-year-old veteran was determined to say goodbye in person to his lifelong friend Des Page who passed away last month, but with two broken hips, his family felt that the 600-mile round trip from Cresswell Quay to Kent would be too much, and sought to find an an alternative way to get him to the funeral.

A group of former Army Air Corps pilots came forward to help with the Gazelle Squadron - a charity manned by volunteers arriving via helicopter to take Ian to his destination.
