Over 100 people from all church denominations in the Pembroke and Pembroke Dock and surrounding areas gathered at The Haven Evangelical Church, Pembroke, last Friday, to take part in the annual interdenominational Women's World Day of Prayer.
This year, the service was prepared by the Christian Women of Malaysia and was entitled 'Let Justice Prevail'.
Guest speaker was Christian missionary Sue Merriman, who has recently returned home to Pembrokeshire to retire after 41 years in Africa. Sue challenged all of us to be active Christians and to speak out when we see injustice in the world and we were all inspired by her message.
The wonderful singing was accompanied by The Haven Worship Music Group and Malaysian refreshments were provided at the end of the service by members of The Haven Church Family, which made a fitting end to a lovely and thought-provoking service.
